Donald Bitto, MD holds dual board-certification in radiology and in nuclear medicine. His medical residency and imaging fellowship were at the University of Pennsylvania where he worked in all phases of radiology and nuclear medicine. He completed his internship at the University of South Carolina after obtaining his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He has completed several research projects and produced a number of papers and invited presentations. Dr. Bitto is under contract to CereScan to interpret brain scans and to provide general consultation on radiology and nuclear medicine topics.

S. Gregory Hipskind, MD, PhD is a noted traumatic and toxic brain injury expert who interprets the scans for patients and their physicians and clinicians and provides expert testimony for attorneys representing clients in brain injury litigation. Dr. Hipskind is a nationally recognized expert in using SPECT brain imaging to evaluate traumatic and toxic brain injuries including carbon monoxide poisoning. In 2008, he published Recent Advances in Brain SPECT Imaging after Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in the medical textbook, Carbon Monoxide Poisoning. He frequently consults with clinicians and attorneys of patients with brain injuries throughout the U.S. A residency-trained family physician, Dr. Hipskind is a certified nuclear neurologist who was certified by the American Academy of Brain Injury Specialists as a brain injury specialist in 2010. Since 2003, Dr. Hipskind has interpreted over 4,000 SPECT brain scans. He is a member of the New York Academy of Traumatic Brain Injury Association of America, the Colorado Brain Injury Association and the Brain Injury Association of America. Dr. Hipskind lectures extensively throughout the U.S. to numerous groups of physicians, teachers and other professionals regarding brain SPECT imaging’s role in the assessment and rehabilitation of brain injuries and the proper diagnosis and treatment of ADHD. Additionally, he has developed educational programs that teach clinicians how to effectively incorporate functional brain imaging into their clinical practices. Dr. Hipskind has appeared on Nightline with Tom Snyder, the Dr. Phil Show, Evening Magazine, The Truth about Drugs with Leeza Gibbons, a national documentary on the drugs’ effects on teenage brain health, and numerous other television and radio programs.

Anwer Sheikh, MD is board-certified in nuclear medicine and has over six years of experience in PET/CT (oncology, cardiac & neurology), nuclear cardiology, and all aspects of nuclear medicine imaging including brain SPECT and nuclear procedure and therapies. His nuclear medicine training (including PET) was at Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois. This included rotations in CT and MRI and additional electives in PET centers at University of Iowa and Mount Sinai Hospital. He is on staff at Georgetown University Hospital and the Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC, as well as the Marshfield Hospital in Marshfield, WI. He also performs tele-nuclear services for two imaging companies based in Illinois. Dr. Sheikh is under contract to CereScan to interpret brain scans and to provide general consultation on radiology and nuclear medicine topics.

Sheryl Gonzalez-Ziegler PsyD is a medical consultant and senior advisor to CereScan and is the founder and managing director of The Child & Family Therapy Center at Lowry. She is a Counseling Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado. Dr. Ziegler is a member of the Colorado Association for Play Therapy, American Psychological Association and started the Spousal Forum for the Colorado chapter of Entrepreneur Organization (EO). Her specific areas of expertise are in treating children and families with a high level of dysregulation. That often means children have been diagnosed as having Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Anziety Disorder, Depressive Disorder, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Encopresis and Enuresis. Dr. Ziegler was the previous Clinical Director and Consulting Psychologist of Namaqua Center, a residential treatment center for children ages 3-12 in the Denver metro area and a sister program of the Larimer Center for Mental Health. In her role with CereScan, she is responsible for bridging physicians and brain diagnostics to better aid in evaluation, symptom diagnosis and care.
