John A. Kelley, Jr.Chairman, CEO
John A. Kelley, Jr., has been the Chairman and CEO of CereScan, a functional brain diagnostics company headquartered in Denver, Colorado since mid-2009. Previously, John served as the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of McDATA Corporation, a provider of storage networking and data infrastructure solutions until McDATA was acquired by Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. in early 2007. Prior to joining McDATA, he served as Executive Vice President of Networks at Qwest Communications International from July, 2000 to December, 2000 after Qwest acquired US West in 2000. He was the President of Wholesale Markets for US West from May, 1998 to July, 2000. From 1995 to April of 1998, John served as Senior Vice-President and General Manager of Large Business and Government Accounts as well as President of the Federal Systems Group. Before his employment at US West, John was the Area President for Mead Corporations Southwest Region from 1991 to 1994 and Vice President and General Manager of the Industrial Products Division for Mead in 1995. He has held senior leadership positions at NBI Corp., Alcatel/Friden and Xerox Corporation. John has been a member of the board of directors of Polycom, Inc. (NASDAQ) since March of 2000 and currently serves as the Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee. He is also on the Board of Directors of Emulex Corporation (NYSE), starting that assignment in 2014. His private company board work has included, Aztek Networks, Stored IQ, Circadence Corporation and 3 Leaf Networks. He has participated at the board level on several local and national non-profits. John holds a B.S. in business management from the University of Missouri, St. Louis. Served in the US Army from 1970 to 1972 and played varsity baseball at the University of Missouri, Columbia.
T. Richard Fort, PhDPresident, COO
T. Richard Fort, PhD is CereScan’s President and Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Fort became a member of the CereScan’s Board of Directors in late 2011. Dr. Fort began his career in the space shuttle program at Kennedy Space Center where he worked in Human Resource Development with a focus on leadership and total quality management. After continuing his career in HR in the telecommunications industry for six years, he moved into the world of education when he bought a Sylvan Learning Center franchise. In 1995, he founded ESM, which was then a customer contact center serving only a handful of Sylvan Learning Centers in Colorado, but which quickly grew into the premiere enrollment center for Sylvan franchisees across the nation. ESM branched into higher education and became the leading business process outsourcer for student lifecycle services primarily in the areas of college admissions and student retention. Over 16 years ESM grew to $50M in revenue and 800 employees and was acquired by Xerox Corporation in July, 2011. Dr. Fort’s emphasis on building a winning environment and shaping a culture of excellence led ESM to be recognized as one of the Best Companies to Work For in Colorado and Ohio. Today, in addition to CereScan, Dr. Fort manages The Fort Knocks Company, a family holding company. He earned a B.A. in Psychology from Louisiana State University, an M.S. in Experimental Psychology from Northeast Louisiana University, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology at Walden University.
S. Gregory Hipskind, MD, PhDChief Medical Advisor
S. Gregory Hipskind, MD, PhD is CereScan’s Chief Medical Advisor, and a noted traumatic and toxic brain injury expert who interprets the scans for patients and their physicians and clinicians and provides expert testimony for attorneys representing clients in brain injury litigation. Dr. Hipskind is a nationally recognized expert in using SPECT brain imaging to evaluate traumatic and toxic brain injuries including carbon monoxide poisoning. In 2008, he published Recent Advances in Brain SPECT Imaging after Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in the medical textbook, Carbon Monoxide Poisoning. He frequently consults with clinicians and attorneys of patients with brain injuries throughout the U.S. A residency-trained family physician, Dr. Hipskind is a certified nuclear neurologist who was certified by the American Academy of Brain Injury Specialists as a brain injury specialist in 2010. Since 2003, Dr. Hipskind has interpreted over 4,000 SPECT brain scans. He was a member of the New York Academy of Traumatic Brain Injury Association of America, the Colorado Brain Injury Association and the Brain Injury Association of America. Dr. Hipskind lectures extensively throughout the U.S. to numerous groups of physicians, teachers and other professionals regarding brain SPECT imaging’s role in the assessment and rehabilitation of brain injuries and the proper diagnosis and treatment of ADHD. Additionally, he has developed educational programs that teach clinicians how to effectively incorporate functional brain imaging into their clinical practices. Dr. Hipskind has appeared on Nightline with Tom Snyder, the Dr. Phil Show, Evening Magazine, The Truth about Drugs with Leeza Gibbons, a national documentary on the drugs’ effects on teenage brain health, and numerous other television and radio programs.
Bradford K. AmmanCFO
Bradford K. Amman is CereScan’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Officer. From June 2006 to December 2010, Mr. Amman served in various financial and operational roles including the Chief Financial Officer, VP Finance, Secretary and Treasurer of LifeVantage Corporation, a scientifically-based and publically-held dietary supplement company. Prior to joining LifeVantage, Mr. Amman provided CFO-level financial consulting services to a unique client base within the hospitality, lodging, e-commerce, transportation and manufacturing industries. Mr. Amman served as the Vice President of Finance and Administration and the Treasurer of SKYDEX Technologies, Inc. in Denver, and has served in various senior level financial and accounting roles within the manufacturing and telecom industries. Mr. Amman received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Denver and his M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
Shane Quint is CereScan’s Chief Technology Officer. He received his computer science degree in 1985 and gained employment with Electronic Data Systems as a Systems Engineer. Over the next 5 years, Mr. Quint honed his software development and database technology skills working for Burlington Northern Railroad and through other consulting projects. In 1995, Mr. Quint started Quint Consulting Services, Inc. where he built a successful information technology consulting practice specializing in web and database technologies. Some of Quint Consulting Services notable clients included Kroger, United Artists Theaters, The Shane Company, Level 3 Communications, US West, and Colorado Pre-paid tuition. In 2005, Mr. Quint joined Education Sales Management (ESM) as VP of Technology and later CTO where he was in charge of all aspects of Information technology including software development, infrastructure and call center technology. ESM was sold to Xerox Corporation in July of 2011. Mr. Quint is an investor in CereScan Corp. and began consulting with CereScan Corp. on various projects in 2012 and joined the company full-time as CTO in April, 2014.
Nick DeGennaroChief Development Officer
Nick DeGennaro is the Chief Development Officer of CereScan. He has over 30 years of experience in the Healthcare industry and is currently Chief Development officer at Cerescan Corp. Before becoming CDO at Cerescan Nick was President/Owner of PH3 Healthcare which managed and operated 10 imaging clinics in Kansas, Texas, Missouri and Louisiana, Nick was Senior Vice President for a national surgery center development and management organization prior to PH3 Healthcare Management. Nick was instrumental in the development and implementation of several successful hospital and physician joint-ventures nationwide. He was involved in 13 syndications including two of the largest in the company’s history. He negotiated the largest group contract and developed successful partnerships with multiple health systems which resulted in multiple projects with each of them.
Nick’s professional experience includes more than 30 years of business development and senior management positions with Fortune 500 companies. He was responsible for the management of large sales teams in geographical territories across the United States. Before his position with the surgery center development company, Nick was vice president, Sales/Marketing & COO with Employer Health Services (EHS), a division of Health Midwest in Kansas City. At EHS he guided the business and sales efforts to a market share of over 40 percent.
Nick has been a guest speaker at many national healthcare conferences and has been published in many industry periodicals.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Colorado State University and MBA from the University of Saint Mary.
Brett W. GreenVP of Forensics Services
Brett W. Green, Esq. is Vice President of Forensics Services provided by CereScan. He joined CereScan in February 2012 and provides consultative and support services to the legal community. Most recently, Mr. Green was a Senior Analyst and Supervisor at a consulting firm contracted by one of the nation’s largest mortgage services to review and analyze its residential foreclosure proceedings for compliance with federal and state laws. Previously, Mr. Green served as the Chief Compliance Officer and general counsel to a Denver based, publicly traded closed-end mutual fund and its investment advisor. His work included dealing with state and federal securities regulators while conducting private securities offerings and registered public offerings. Mr. Green earned his B.A. in Psychology from Vanderbilt University and his J.D. from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.
Andrea D. JensenVP of Marketing and Sales
Andrea D. Jensen is the Vice President of Marketing and Sales. She joined CereScan in January 2015 and is responsible for the marketing, business development and sales promotion of CereScan, Molecular Imaging of Colorado, the company’s national affiliate clinics and the internal Forensic Services division. Andrea has 15 years of marketing, communication and business development experience in the health care industry. She has worked for companies such as LifeCare Management Services, Centura Health, Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank and NatureSmart, LLC (owned by Whole Foods Market). She has extensive experience in strategic planning, health care marketing, account management, website design, social media, design and placement of large marketing campaigns in a wide range of media outlets. Andrea led a team of clinical sales professionals to meet annual revenue targets exceeding $23M. She has experience in planning and executing groundbreaking and grand opening events for large hospitals. She is FEMA certified in Emergency Preparedness for Public Information Officers and Incident Command Training. She has served as the Public Information Officer for several Level III Trauma Centers and other medical facilities. Ms. Jensen earned her B.A. in Technical Journalism from Colorado State University.
Scott WildayMedical Relations Manager
Scott Wilday is CereScan’s Medical Relations Manager. Scott is a mobile start-up enthusiast specializing in health technology. He started his career at iTriage, a patient centric symptom checker that helps people find the appropriate healthcare provider. From there, he worked as a strategy consultant for local mobile start-ups through AppIt Ventures. He recently was the Co-Founder and Principal of the company iC3D Health and made successful exit. Currently Scott is the Medical Relations Manager for CereScan and is working on growing the provider relations. Scott went to Chapman University where he received a BS in Business and Communications and played lacrosse four years.
Garrett BussiereNeurosciences Manager
Garrett Bussiere is the Neurosciences Manager at CereScan. He has taken on multiple roles within the company including managing the research and marketing departments as well as assisting with various clinical services. Garrett is a graduate of UC Berkeley; completing his thesis on neuroethics and cognitive neuroscience. After competing professionally with the St. Louis Cardinals and later working in both the medical and education fields, he authored a book on the subject of cognitive restoration following traumatic brain injury. Garrett joined the CereScan team full-time in November of 2013.
